How Can You Know if a Person Goes to Hell

This question presupposes a belief in the existence of heaven and hell and a belief in an afterlife. There is no one on earth who can say definitively whether there is any credence to these concepts, and there are widely divergent behavior on this topic within Unitarian Universalism, and beyond.

In the apocryphal gospel of Thomas, Jesus is recorded every bit saying, "the kingdom of heaven is within you." Associated with the concepts of Heaven and Hell are the accompanying notions of God and Lucifer, the Devil. Of course, not all religions endorse traditional Judeo-Christian concepts of God, the Devil, Heaven and Hell. It is certainly logically possible that humans have an afterlife even if traditional ideas of Heaven and Hell are mistaken. A faith such as Buddhism, for example, does non have those traditions, while endorsing a unlike concept of an afterlife (reincarnation). Christians believe those who are "saved" become to Sky, while everyone else is consigned to Hell, Limbo or Purgatory. As an agnostic about God et al., I merely don't know whether Heaven or Hell exists, and whether anyone ends up going to either one.
